Duende
Bir görüntü, bir ses, bir duygu zihinde henüz kendisine uygun sözcükleri yaratmazdan çok önce ruhta bir dalga yaratıyor; bazen ani bir ışık, bazen hüzünlü bir karaltı, bazense zahmetsiz bir esenlik hali getiren bu dalgaya binbir gece masallarına özgü bir şiirsellikle DUENDE diyoruz.
Bakmak her şekilde bakmaktır ancak bakılan şeyin görülebilirliği ruhtaki Duende üstüne kuruludur. Bu yüzden bir yetenektir de Duende; kendi ruhundan daha fazla ruhla dolma yeteneği.
Bugün yaşama ve zafer kazanma hakkı, maratona katılım şartlarıyla aynı biçimde veriliyor; gittikçe artan koşu mesafeleri, her kilometre için zamandan çalınan dakikalar, yüksek tempo ve hep daha fazla sürat.
Hayat senfonisinin o baş döndürücü nağmelerini coşkuyla kovalayacak halimiz pek yok artık. Yorgun ve uykuluyuz. Baktığımız şeylerin ardında daha çok dünya olabileceğini fark etmeden sürüyüp duruyoruz ayaklarımızı. Bir gemi batarmış gibi sadece ve öylesine yürüyoruz. Tek bir sonsuzluğun içinde her şey olabilmenin güzelliğini, yani Duende’nin büyüsünü yazık ki ezip geçiyoruz.
Bu mekanın sınırları içinde beraberce yavaşlamayı arzuluyoruz şimdi; kapatalım şemsiyeleri, düşünceyi, duyguyu, hatırayı yağmurun altına götürelim, bırakalım da hisler biraz hava alsın, sakince uçuralım heyecanları, bir rengin, bir imgenin, bir yontunun peşine takılıp bambaşka bir dünyada başka türlü bir çiçeği koklamanın zevkine varalım.

The Key Art Gallery’nin yeni sergisi DUENDE, görünmez bir fanın hafif esintisi misali yaşam yorgunu duygularımızı serinletmenin umudunu taşımakla beraber sanatın garip derinliklerinde gezinmenin sevincini besliyor.

An image, a sound, a feeling creates a wave in the soul long before it finds the right words to express itself in the mind; we call this wave, which sometimes brings a sudden light, sometimes a sorrowful shadow, and sometimes an effortless state of peace, DUENDE with a poetic quality akin to the tales of One Thousand and One Nights.
Looking is always looking in some form, but the visibility of what is seen is built upon the Duende in the soul. This is why Duende is also a talent; the ability to fill oneself with more soul than one's own.
Today, the right to live and achieve victory is given in the same manner as the conditions for participating in a marathon: ever-increasing running distances, minutes stolen from time for each kilometer, high tempo, and always more speed.
We no longer have the strength to chase the dizzying melodies of life's symphony with enthusiasm. We are tired and sleepy. We drag our feet without realizing that there might be more worlds behind what we see. We walk as if a ship is sinking, just walking aimlessly. Unfortunately, we trample over the beauty of being everything within a single infinity, the magic of Duende.
Within the boundaries of this space, we now desire to slow down together; let’s close the umbrellas, take thoughts, feelings, and memories under the rain, let the senses get some air, let’s calmly lift our excitement, and enjoy the pleasure of following a color, an image, a sculpture to smell a different kind of flower in a completely different world.
Let’s refresh and revive the great motif that crafts art, that first and most genuine light that makes human existence original, with our own Duende. Let’s remember that the universe and the human soul converse through Duende.
The new exhibition at The Key Art Gallery, DUENDE, carries the hope of refreshing our weary emotions like the gentle breeze of an invisible fan while feeding the joy of wandering in the strange depths of art.
It melts the seemingly completely incompatible creation practices of many artists into one, transforming them into a single, Homeric light.
